Privacy policy

What data do we collect?

Your phone number (for verification and sign-in), your name, your photo if you upload one, your region if you choose one, and the data of the circles you create or join: amount, duration, members, comments, and the payment history.

Why do we use it?

To run the circle: show members to each other, set the turns, and send payment reminders. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Who sees your data?

Members of the same circle see your name, photo and commitment record. The organizer sees your profile before accepting your request to join a public circle. Your phone number is never shown to anyone.

Money

The platform is an organizing tool only. We never receive or transfer any money, and we do not guarantee members' commitment. Any financial dispute is between the members themselves.

Storage and security

Your data is stored on Google's Firebase servers, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is protected by your phone number and a verification code.

Deleting your account

You can request deletion of your account and data from the profile page or by contacting us. Data of completed circles stays visible to the other members as a record.

Terms

By using the app you agree that Jamiya is an organizing tool and not a party to any financial commitment between members, and that you are responsible for the accuracy of your data and for your commitments to the members of your circle.
